Hailing from Murrieta, California, Rausa was named 1st-team All-Southwestern League as a sophomore, junior and senior. As a senior, he went 19-21 on field goal attempts and earned Maxpreps All-America honors. He was also named LA Times California Special Teams MVP and 1st-team All State. He committed to kicking for the Boise State Broncos.
Rausa was stellar as a Bronco. He was a Lou Groza Award Semifinalist and Watch List nominee, earned All-Mountain West First-Team honors, and set the Mountain West single-season record for points by a kicker with 134 points (breaking previous record of 122).
In 2018, Rausa will take his kicking prowess to The Spring League to keep his NFL dreams alive.
