From Columbus, OH, Harris decided to play collegiate ball in a much warmer climate, The University of Hawaii. There, Harris electrified the Mountain West Conference, rushing for 1,132 yards in 2015 on 5.7 yards per carry, tying a school record with 4 consecutive 100-yard games and winning Offensive Player of the Year.
During his senior season in 2016, Harris was selected as a preseason candidate for the 2016 Doak Walker Award, given to the nation’s top college running back. Other candidates included Leonard Fournette (Jaguars) and Christian McCaffrey (Panthers), and was ultimately won by D’Onta Foreman (Texans).
Harris will join The Spring League in 2018, looking to show scouts his patented speed and playmaking ability belong in the NFL.
