From Oakland, California, Campbell was an All-Oakland Athletic League WR and 2nd-team All-East Bay defensive back. He led the lead in receiving with 28 receptions for 490 yards and 10 TD’s his senior season. He committed to the University of Washington to play college ball.
Despite not posting eye-popping numbers in college, the 6-2, 206lb Campbell defied the odds and signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. He became a fixture of their practice squad, before ultimately signing with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL.
Looking for a re-entry into the NFL, Campbell participated in The Spring League’s inaugural Summer Showcase game in order to test out his skills against elite competition in front of the many scouts in attendance.
