Grinnage decided to give his dream of making an NFL roster one more shot by playing in The Spring League in 2017. It’s a development league and scouting event for professional football hopefuls. There are four teams playing two games each, all in the same location. That year, it was in Napa Valley, California.
The Jaguars were impressed enough to invite Grinnage to training camp in the summer of 2017. They released him, then signed him to the practice squad.
